Rotan is a quiet ranching town in northern Fisher County, up on the edge of the rolling plains where cotton fields give way to cattle country and the Caprock starts to climb. There's not much in the way of subdivisions out here — it's working land, family ranches, and folks who've farmed the same ground for generations — so the bulk of our work around Rotan is barbwire and net-wire fence, pipe entrance gates, cattle pens, loafing sheds, and the occasional metal barn or shop. Posts go into hard, rocky-to-sandy ground, and the wind doesn't quit, so we brace heavy and build to last. We come up from Abilene through the Hamlin and Anson side, and we're glad to make the drive for a free estimate or a mobile welding repair out at the pens.
